With the dawn of nuclear power only a few years behind us the physical sciences have become a major part of our educational system. The Division of Physical Sciences at San Diego State has been growing rapidly. This year brought the completion of a 244-inch telescope which was partly constructed by students, and a sub-critical atomic reactor which was constructed by staff members.
