Blue Key tapped new members afterwards . . . The Don Room of the El Cortez Hotel was the scene of the Homecoming Banquet . . . The judging of the queen was completed before dinner that Wednesday evening . . . candi- dates ate their swiss steak nervously . . . the final decision was reached, but not announced . . , the five finalists were Betsy Bruset, Clau- dia Stevenson, Jackie Schneider, Mary Jacobs and Pat Starr . . . Ed Nuttall was master of ceremonies . . . the classes of l904, 'l4, '24, '34, and '44 were honored . . . next day, Pat Starr was crowned Homecoming Queen . . . 1 l Lessee, there must be an idea for a float here somewhere. HOMECQMING This reminds me of a joke George told me yesterday . . . One of your more interesting campus activities? lt was work, work, work that last night before Homecoming . . . all the Greeks stuff- ing crepe paper flowers or gluing real flowers in place . . . taking off for a short time here and there to look at the competition . . .
