Pro ress 4 4 L , Mr. Thatcher carefully surveys the blueprints of the new Junior College addition. Excavation begins on site of new 51,000,000 building. Change is inevitable in a progressive country. - Disraeli. San Diego is a growing and changing city, and growing and changing along with the city is the San Diego Junior College. Just as every year in the past has left memorable events in The minds of San Diego stu- dents, this year is no exception. In October, work was begun on what is to be a welcomed and much needed addition to the classroom facilities of San Diego Junior Curious students observe workmen building one of the many forms necessary for construction, College. The students, as well as the teachers, have found the noise rather disturbing, but when the work is completed, the results will be truly rewarding. The new building, which will stand on the lot adjacent to the Administration Building, is to include thirteen regular class rooms, seven labs, a special foreign language room, and a book store, The proiect, which will cost ilS86l,OOO, is to be completed by September of 1959.
