Q ee the purpose of the freshman class organization is to pro- vide a friendly situation which will make the new mem- bers of the student body feel at home. the organization provides an important avenue through which the new student may be oriented and greatly helped in making the transition from high school to college. the students who participate in the government of the class receive much valuable training and practice in the conduct of student business. This background has created interest in participation, later in the associated students, and has helped to make these students more effective. achievements of the year sponsored fiesta de la navidad, a swim and dance party, given at christmas time. gave an all-school program dur- ing spring semester.
