Although we cannot predict exactly what the San Diego Junior College will be like ten years trom now, there can be no quess tion that it will have grown long betore that into one ot the most important educa- tional institutions in the entire San Diego area. The justifications tor this loeliet are not ditlicult to tind. For one thing we need only loolc at the record ot the past three years, a record which reveals a growing strength in all three centers in the program ot instruction, in student activities, and in the healthy coordination ot the entire Junior College among its several parts and with the community. And when we realize that the Junior College has grown strong in spite ot many material obstacles-inade- quate housing and poor tacilities, tor in- stance-we cannot help feeling secure in our taith in the future. There are still many questions tor which right answers must loe tound loelore there can be detinite planning: but the proven intelligence, courage, resourcetulness, and initiative ot our taculty and students will be sutticient to meet the challenge. DR. JOHN ASELTINE President ot San Diego Junior College
