Here they had a chance to see L.A. City and County regional exhibitions of student achievement in creative art. They also visited the U.S.C. School of Architecture and Fine Arts, plus the L.A. County Art Museum and Exposition Park. The students, supervised by Mr. Petrich, Mr. Wiegand and Dr. Leather- bury, Supervisor of Art Education, brought their day to o climax by dinner and recreation at Knott's Berry Farm. 29

The Senate began showing itself highly effective by taking up the plan- ning and designing ofa Student Union Building, During its first meeting, Augie Bregante was named president pro- tem. Official president is the vice-president of the A,S.B. lt is hoped that all students will use this new voice as an Oppor- tunity to express their wishes, The Senate acts on any ideas in the same way as does the A.S.B. Council.
