He wants something on the senior page besides his picture. Hooray! Yes, that's our boy Charlie over the line for a touchdown, and San Diego walks over Hoover in another great football carnival. There, along with Charlie, are the Sergeanettes and Song and Yell Leaders cheering our team on to victory. Next we find our man right in the middle of more excitement, introducing the new to the old on our annual Homecoming Day. Those silent and talkie movies along with the Charleston were really sensational. What's this? Charlie with a megaphone and a paint brush, painting all the trash cans bright blue and yelling, Let's keep our campus clean! He's trying to do his part in the Boys' Federation clean-up campaign. Charlie settles do-wn a little and decides to do some reading. He picks up a bulletin, expecting it to be rather dull, but instead it says, Save a nickel for a pickle. That's our junior class again with its rhymes that would drive us crazy if homework didn't beat them to it. Next we find Charlie racking his brain about something. As we get nearer we can hear him saying, What chick can l take to Mistletoe Mischief, that great dance put on by the senior class, or Winter Whirl by the junior class, or A Midnight Kiss, the annual Sergeanettes' Ball, or Skunk Hollow Hop, the Boys' Federation brain storm? Shall we leave him with his troubles? Oh, no, not Charlie, too! Almost anywhere we look in the Gray Castle we find a bunch of knit wits racking their brains over a pair of argyle socks instead of you know what. One, two, three, kick! One, two, three, kick! Yes, there he is again sitting right in the fro-nt row watching those gorgeous Cavebelles trying out for Campus Capers, the greatest show West -of the Sierras. Now we find Charlie at the Annual Spring Concert taking in some long-haired stuff for a change. He is pretty well worn out, but our man still has enough of that San Diego High School spirit for the super colossal Senior Skating Party, where the senior boys show off their talents in playing hockey, and that'long-awaited Ditch Day. lOh, my aching sunburnll Then there's Dads and Grads, where the grads and their dads play ball, and Mothers' Tea for the Moms. Next, showing their hidden talents, are the seniors again in that sensational senior play, The Road to Yesterday. Gift Day is another great senior event con- cluded by our Senior Prom with all the color, beauty, and gaiety of a royal ball. Last of all is Commencement and those final grades we've all been waiting for. Everyone, like Charlie, has his own little banner to wave so, San Diego, San Diego, wave your banners highl kr, I , .if D'gn pixi, ll QV A6 kNa!V?K Lxlupklrio rya r eh We X X5 61 f l VV J.
