BOYS QUARTET-L ft K ght Sk pu D g h rt, all tHMager A d G bl R y d C 1 KE H ll l 7,'e gyrixll and KNIA' gyee furnish the lighter and more fanciful music selections. The two groups operate separately, but both sing for the PTA, Christmas and Easter programs, for Home- coming and at the junior high schools. Composed mostly of underclass- men, the glee clubs serve primarily as training grounds for the choir and boys' ensemble. The Girls' Glee has l2O members, the boys' club 55 members. Both groups participated in the County Music Festival and Spring Concert. I The Quartet this year appeared for the first time in really nice uniforms provided by the ASB. Now Mr. Maxwell will have to consider height, weight, and waist measure as well as voice, when selecting future foursomes, since the ASB wants the uniforms passed on. The quartet represents the Hilltop at luncheons, banquets, meetings, and radio pro- grams with entertaining songs about taclrs and mosquitoes, as well as with serious selections.

The result is an annual which is guaranteed not to shock anyone's great grandmother, yet one which will never be mistaken for a pillow. The staff, headed by Betty Sherr and composed of section editors Ruth Davidson, faculty: .lenette Inglis, activi- ties: Marilyn Miller, clubs: Bob Pranger, sports: Roy Reed, seniors: and Harry Jacobson, literary: and the art class. headed by Marjorie Cyphert, hope you will like this solution to the problem. Wfe zlt parade faced only the problems of arousing the crea- tive instincts -of Hillers and then collecting a quarter from said Hillers to see their instincts in print. In spite of two such Himalayan difficulties, Roy Reed managed to make this year's literary magazine ia credit to the Hilltop and its founding father, Quill and Scroll. row 1 DMN D rl auand- sewn UGY G Sn M s Nlarum-ef Gown f 1 from wht' l-'wlna T .
