As soon as Lyle had chosen his committee, f Hilltop students began to whisper the pass-word HCave-lnnlu March I they crowded into the Boys, Gym for the grand re-openingg and with monthly dances set on the calendar, the semester was soon running at full speed. ASB officers then toolc time out for a Sunday alternoon at the tried hard to stay dry and on Coach Werner Petersen's aquaboard. Fatal and futile attempts by Don Robertson and Nlarty Jones brought howls of laughter from the others clustered on the shore. Newly invigorated Council mem- bers returned to school rooting and ready to begin the campaign to stimulate interest in the approaching baseball season, always an orphan as tar as attendance at games is concerned. Since strengthening war bond sales was an- other item on the Council schedule of things to be done, Charles Kerridge was appointed general chairman in charge of promotion. Top-notch performers were secured by Chuclc to participate in shows for all H100 per cent every weelcu buyers of stamps and bonds. With such an activity-packed calendar, time llew by and the semester came to an unexpected close at the semi-annual, all important ASB Ball. This dance put the final touch on a very beach.
