third period on ddridi ay Orchestra — I he orchestra, under the direction of Nino Marcelli, was confronted this year with a serious man-power shortage because of the war; however, the high standards of previous orchestras were maintained.— Dominic Calabrese, President Band —Under the direction of Mr. Marcelli, the band carried out its usual fall activities this semester. These included providing music for the home football games and drilling with the Scrgeanettes at these games. The band also joined with the Sergeanettes and ROTC for the gigantic Navy Day program in the stadium in October.— Bob Bolam, President Sergeanettes —Under the direction of Miss Kay Teer, the Sergeanettes performed for home football games.
