Second row: Henry Alsten, Cottardo Ghio, Mary Cesario, Jerry Holtzman, Art Dorniny, Margaret Woodall. ll-he Ghost Flies South' LEVERLY enacted by a cast ot outstanding Hilltop thespians, The Ghost Flies South, a tive-act comedy by Frederick Jackson, was presented as a Senior A production in Russ auditorium May I8, I9 and 20. Expertly directed by Alfred Alexander, the tarce, which had many hilarious moments, was applauded by a delighted audience. The story centers around the Meredith sisters, Anita, played by Margaret Woodall, and Diana, enacted by Frances Moyer. Reared to regard gambling as a vice to be spoken ot only in hushed tones, the two girls nevertheless decide to gamble on the stock market and, unfortunately, win S400,000. To prevent Morgan, Anita's tiance, played by Art Dominy, and his aristocratic mother, Mrs. Winthrop, portrayed by Margaret Stanley, trom discovering the truth, the girls invent a mythical Uncle William, who, they say, has died and lett his fortune to Anita. Others in the cast include: Gloria Winke as the eccentric grand- mother ot the Meredith girls: Cottardo Ghio as Tyler Rankin, a broker in love with Diana: Henry Alsten as Homer Reed, a pompous lawyer, Phyllis Faulk as Mrs. Homer Reed: Jerry Holtzman as Buck Hollis, a cowboy: Mary Cesario as Chiquita, an Indian squaw, and Bettie Hawkes as the maid.
