lw X M a BARBARA CLARE DOROTHY SCHWARTZ Editor Business Manager Annual Statt Expresses Thanl4s N an attempt to- produce an annual which would be both interesting and attractive, members ot the Gray Castle statt have worlced dili- gently since February. The statt is indeed tortunate in having an extremely capable art department this semester. Wilma Magini, art editor, completed the tirst divisional page, depicting the covered wagon age, as well as the third one picturing the tirst train. Aiding Wilma were Marion D'Ave, Dorothy Vogt, Martha Smith and Marjorie Phillips. Carol McCabe pro- vided the silhouette cartoons. Candid shots were chosen from pictures entered in the annual's can- did camera contest. Special praise should be given l-loward Germo tor his many snapshots. Much thanlcs is due Mrs. Verl F. Smurthwaite, editorial adviser, Miss Florence Lormer, tinancial director, and Miss Harriet L. Southwiclc, art supervisor. The statt also wishes to express its appreciation to Hal G. Bruclrer ot Neyenesch Printers tor his valuable aid and to Chiclcy Glad- stone, a post graduate, tor voluntary and capable editing ot copy.
