The following are a few of the records: Miguel Gonzalez, president of the A. S. B. and winner of the boys' popularity contest. Paul Edwards, four times president of his class. Selma Young, winner of the SIGOO scholarship to the Pasadena Com- munity Playhouse. Gordon Frost, editor of The Russ. Gordon l-larding, Colonel of the local R. O. T. C. William McClintocl4, Southern California regional vice-chairman of the C. S. F. Jeanette Munlcelt, winner of the girls' popularity contest and assistant editor of The Russ. Willard Mayer and Don McKenney, members of the boys' quartet. Clem Wescott, president of the Boys' Federation. l-lelen Glidden, president of the Girls' League. Jack Demers, Sam l-lill, Mernie La Belle, and Maxine Belshe, yell leaders. Betty l-lolcomb, drum majoress. Thomas Vinton, vice-president of the A. S. B. William Dickenson, youngest Glider Amphibian Pilot in l93O. John Formwalt, school radio announcer. Lucille Kinyon, representative of S.D.l-l.S. in state shorthand contest. Chet Smith, piclced twice as All Coast League pitcher and winner of the Union trophy. Swede Smith, winner of T933 Coast League batting average title, All Coast League center in baslcetball, and All Coast shortstop in baseball. Morris Polloclc, Southern California quarterback, high point track scorer of Coast League, holder of school's broad jump record, and mem- ber of the California championship relay team which held a world record. Sam Galasso, All Conference guard of the l-luntington Beach meet, and member of the Southern California baseball team for three years. Jerry Torrance and Manuel Moreno, Southern California champion- ship wrestlers for two years. Leonard Murray, member of the California championship relay team which held world record.
