CLA!! I'1 IITD DY EARLY three years ago this noble edifice of learning was stormed by a group of inexperienced but determined peagreens. The upper classmen were lined up along the sidewalk to meet and greet them. Having survived this very demonstrative welcome, they embarked upon a highly successful high school career. Now they are about to leaveg some to enter the various colleges and universities as underclassmen, others to enter the School of Experience and Hard Knocks as pea- greens. just to start off in the right direction, the whole sophomore class merged to form a football team that won the interclass championship in the spring of 1927. Things ran smoothly for a year and a half, during which the class may have seemed inactive to some observers, it was in fact preparing for the events that were to follow. In the spring of 1929 this apparently dormant class awoke and settled down to work. The sweater committee, headed by Wade Ambrose and consisting of Josephine Morehouse and Bill Tinker, submitted many satisfactory sweaters to the class as a whole for approval. The sweater chosen was a solid blue slip-over with white felt numerals. The present graduating class is the first in many years to have the slip- over type of sweater. The ring committee, headed by Ed Thompson and consisting of Eleanor Agnew and Warren L. Patton, submitted twelve rings to the class for approval, and a gold ring with a silver SD on a blue and white background was selected. It is customary for the Senior A's to give a play each semester, but the Senior B's again showed their originality when they sponsored the play lcebound as a method of raising money for the class activities. As a final memento of their football prowess, the whole Senior class combined to win again the interclass football championship. At the end of the semester, the class sponsored a School Spirit Week. In the assem- bly for that week, Lawrence Pritchard, as president of the Senior B's, presented an eighteen-inch cup to the school, to be awarded at the end of each semester to the class showing the best school spirit. Now the class prepares to leave this, the scene of their many triumphs and happy moments. May they always be as original and successful in later life. -W. L. P. Tm: At.ouA I 13 1
