H . ' KN-K-'-1' NE of the saddest phases of school life is the parting of the gradu- ation class. Though you may return among the throng in the Qi 5 class room and the corridors, in the Cafeteria and the Stadium, the loneliness presses down upon you as you look for faces that . ' it you cannot find and listen for the sound of voices that are not ' there. You understand the meaning of Coleridge when he says, Water, water every where nor any drop to drink. Though you may gain other friends you seek in vain for friendships comparable to those of class-mates. And so it is with all the pathos of the separation of a family that you say good-bye to your class-ma tes. Perhaps good-bye forever. However, there is happiness that can only accompany a task finished g the joy of making another step forward 5 the feeling of laying down our tools that we may pick up finer ones that we may build greater things. And in the mind there are builded great castles of air for what the future may unfold. At this point in parting you see your joys and sorrows, your friends, classmates and teachers in their true light. True to human traits you appreciate them, some- times only too late. As it has been with those in the past, as it will he with you in the future, so it is now with us the class of Ianuary '25, that with an ache in our hearts, a smile on our lips and a tear in our eyes, we bid farewell to the friends, teachers, and happy hours of the old Gray Castle.
