'A-'l.LfiL7fii'1T?.w'ifii'5 ,-I' -1' Agn., The Denmans have been with SDUA three years. Sinte 1927, when Mr. Denman received a diploma in business administration from Union College, he has held administrative and teaching positions at Maplewood Academy, Southwestern junior College, and at various high schools in Nebraska and lowa. Their oldest son, Alden, is a sophomore at the College of Medical livangelists School of Dentistry. Their daughter. joan, is a supervisor at the White Memorial Hospital. Roger was a sophomore at SDUA this year. The fact that Mr, Denman holds the Gregg lixpert Medal in shorthand can be understood because typing and shorthand are his avocations. The Sen- ior Cllass has enjoyed having him as one of their sponsors this year. C?-w. VK -vu' PRINCIPALS MESSAGE We faculty members are sincerely interested in the students of our academy. We feel a definite and serious responsibility as to our part in molding and developing the attitudes, talents, and behaviour of the students. Our fervent hope is that we have helped you to be earnest and thoughtful in arriving at decisions, firm and fair in your convictions, considerate of your fel- low men and of their beliefs, decisive and logical in organizing your future plans, calm and unruffled in the moments of stress that will come to each of you. May you always have a wholesome and keen sense of humor, The main purpose of Christian education is not knowledge, but redemption. We are told that, in the highest sense, the work of education and the work of redemption are one. May the Lord richly bless you from day to day. MARION DENMAN Mr. and Mrs. Denman. joan. Alden and Rogci
