The Freshman Football team under new coaches, Barry Waters and Dennis Nespor started slowly, but then came on strong at the end of the season to post an overall record of 4-4-1. , The team had a successful league season winning 4, losing 2, and tying 1 game which gave them a third place finish. The tie was against Villa Park who fielded a sophomore team. Highlights of the year: Darryl Howe had a 94 yard run against rival Mission Viejo. Larry Poncino served as team captain. The coaches named Mike Oathout, Arnulfo Malagon, Darryl Howe, Mike Farrier, AI Benavidez, Larry Poncino, and Bob Drown as having promising futures. At the completion of year,Bob Drown was named M.
