Helped considerably by Bob Frye and Pete Sellers, the Tritons scored and scored again. , h The widely known, tough hitting defense turned in another sparkling game as they gave up only 6 points. The defense was led by John Romero, Bill Madden, Clark larrett, Charlie Dargan, Pete Sellers, and Randy Paul- son. $.C. vs Katella San Clemente broke through LKateIla's domination of the homecoming game by mounting a scoring drive in the final quarter of play, Quartern back Bill Kenny, who passed for 153 yds. in the game, hit halfback Clark larrett with a screen pass and iarrett tamed the play into a 59 yd. gain. Another Kenny pass, this time to Kevin Wright, tightened up the score- board with SC. '5 ione six points of the evening. The strong defensive work by Katella's defense, brought the over- whelming win to spoil the homecoming game. SC. vs. Mission Viejo ' L -L The San Clemente Varsity Football Team invaded MiS-v sion Viejd's home grounds for a closely contested game! SC vs Foothill San Clementets Big Red Machine came to a grinding halt against a fired up Foams?! defense. Pall interceptions plagued the Triton offense throughout the night as they suffered a 15-0 den feat. Linebacker Bill Madden led the SC defense with 15 unallisted tackles along with the recovery of a fumble. Charlie Dargon and Kevin Wright intercepted pages against the Knight quarter- back in vain as Foorhill went on to score two touchdowns and hold SC scorless throughout the contest. The loss brings the team to an even 1-1 league record and an overall record of1-3 due to the lorfei! against Laguna.
