Also brought up was the proced- ture of bill passing. h Mr. Merchant from the Secret Service spoke on how they guard the President; his San Clemente staff, Washington staff and his traveling staff. Other speakers , during the year include Dr. Laver and Mr. Northrup on fluoridation and Mr. , Edd Kincaid on Africa.

History class are boring. Right? Wrong! This year our History department is doing its best to have interesting and worthwhile classes: NAmong the new educational concepts were speakers who really know what they're talk- ing about. To speak about city government was Mayor Walt Evans. Something that- everyone's interested in is Ecology. Cap and one of the most interesting , speakers this year was Congressmar' john Schmitz. Schmitz spoke on th f role of a congressman and his dutie Tgw to his district. He talked of his work i the capitaiahd a few other items, the left the rest of the time open for ques tions, of Which many were asked.
