enior Cfafid Mar .xjfi S Senior Board activities were numerous this year as the Class of 1966 began its last year at San Carlos High. The board's first responsibility was the management of the refreshment sales at home football games and later the board conducted noon-time food sales. The Pre-Sadie Hawkins Rum- mage Sale was next on the agenda, followed by the Christmas Ball. A Battle of the Bands was held to determine the band to play for this dance and the students from all classes were invited to come and vote for their favorite band. The winner was the Mystics. The second semester activities began with an after-basketball game dance with music by Ourselves and then the board began to -4-li .lf 8 SD' prepare for the beautiful Senior Ball. Candlelight and Gold was held at the Peninsula Golf and Country Club and music was by Walt Tolleson's Orchestra. Barbara Seely was crowned Queen and her court included julie Clark, julie johnson, Barbara Hanford, Becky Mueller, Carol Thoman,Barbara Smith,and Lori Burdett. After the dance, the parents sponsored a San Francisco Bay cruise. The Senior Board maintained a booth at the County Fair and also conducted Slave Day. And, finally, the board planned Senior Week activities, which included the Senior Awards Tea, bacca- laurate, a picnic, the Yearbook dance, and a Senior Breakfast.
