The 1965-66 soccer team was a top-calibre squad that was unbeaten until the last week of the regular season. Led by league scoring co-champ, lim Leitner, the Dons racked up a 6-3-4 won-lost-tied record. They finished 4th in the S.P.A.L. and 3rd in the post-season tournament. 1 at Serra 0 1 at Gunn 1 4 at El Camino 1 1 Menlo-Atherton 1 1 at So. South City was stubborn and tied SC, but the Dons played two of their better games in sweeping the series against El Camino. Arch-rival Carlmont fell hard as the league season started. Cubberley stunned the San Carlans with quick goals, but the Dons bounced back to beat tough Woodside. After ties with Gunn and M-A, the Dons lost a hard-fought battle with the first place Se- quoians. In the post-season tourney, S.C. finished by shutting out Paly in a good game.
