Trendsefiers Whatever image the Berdoo players wanted to project, there was something to accom- modate them. Fashion-wise, a wide variety of fads emerg- ed. This year's wardrobe included everything from preppy angora sweaters to punk stripes and checker prints. Vans also made an ap- pearance with more daring color combina- tions and prints. For entertainment, there was the cursed Rubik's Cube. For some, it was just a few seconds of work, but for most, it was a hob- by which lasted all year! Rubick's Cubes were found in many of the reacher's and studenr's hands because of their ability to relieve tension, Evergbodg wears designer jeans and boai iennis shoes - Jackie Doucei-ie Vanderbilfs. Designer jeans were worn by both girls and guys. Pictured is a pair of Glc Vans made another appearance, and checkers became more fashionable.

Dubbing In The Sound The days of silent movies have indeed pass- ed on our set. This season our band, better known as THE BIG RED MACHINE, livened up sports events, pep rallies, and parades, but there were also set-backs. The band director hired at the beginning of the year left after only two weeks, followed by a temporary replacement, Mrs, Susan Miller, who stayed until yet another substitute, Mrs. Karen Cook, came. Finally, Mr. Russell Schissler arrived, and the pro- blem was settled. When asked to comment on the situation, student director, Tom Flores said, Con- sidering all the confusion we had this year, I think the band did a pretty good job.
