DEDICATION The 1978 Tyro Annual is dedicated to a teacher who spends a great deal of his time working with students. He is dedicated to his students and seeing that they get an education. The 1978 Tyro Annual is dedicated to Mr. Brian Burke. Mr. Brian Burke was born in McGeehee, Arkansas on May 8, 1924. He graduated from San Bernardino High and later received his B.A. and Masters ' from University of Redlands. Mr. Burke has been employed as a barber, served in the Marines for three years and is now teach- ing at S.B.H.S. Here at S.B.H.S., Mr. Burke has been the advisor of Student Council and of a Historical Club. He has also taught Drivers ' Education and Training, and is in charge of the archives, now being formed. Mr. Burke and his wife have three children. Sue, Mary, and Brian III, all of whom have graduated from S.B.H.S. Mr. Burke is now in his twentieth year of teaching at S.B.H.S. He is always a number one choice for the Sobo- ban Faculty Feed and his history classes are always full. The 1978 Annual Staff
