Even though a well-loved player might have been qone when the game began in September he is not forgotten for in the minds of many former students he will still take tricks and score more points And the new players so filled with ant1c1pat1on at the start of the game learned the rules soon and now add their polnts to th total score As we take a glance through this year we see that the students were not the only hard working Cards around the campus The fac ulty had a big part in seeing that the year was a success They shuffled the cards and saw that there was enough patience discipline work and fun Then they cut the deck squarely and dealt the cards so that each hand was varied diamonds for knowledge hearts for understand ing clubs for fun and spades for sports Throughout the game was sprinkled their encouragement courtesy and strength Striving to inspire our hearts with allegiance to prin ciples the school and right authority they persevered in spite of our resistance expressed too often in inattention discourtesy or rnore belligerently in eraser fights and low flying mi siles Their maior office of course is to fill our minds with learning not only subiect matter but the rules of the game so that we shall be prepared to fill our parts Too many of us left You the faculty of Cardmal C1ty X..
