Traffic-clear street, an exciting band, imaginative floats, and warm weather. The perfect ingredients for a perfect homecoming parade. The theme for this year's parade was 'lgame shows , with the senior's in- terpretation of The Wheel of For- tune winning first place. Second place was given to the sophomores for their float, titled, Football Feud with third going to the freshmen's version of the Gong Show . Pacific Grove, this year's oppo- nents for homecoming, was better than ever. The Baler Band dressed in some very original costumes, enter- tained an excited crowd of over 2,000 football fans during half-time. Also in the half-time activities was the crowning of the very elated home- coming queen, Rachel Zuniga. Her escort was the distinguished Jeff Ross. This thrilling evening of football was wrapped up with a 42-12 victory over the Pacific Grove Breakers. Homecoming this year was fun for all due to the combined efforts of the student body and faculty. lt was tru- ly a night to remember, said Kris- tinea Anderson. According to Judy Bermudez, There were more people that were excited about homecom- ing this year. lt seemed like they had fun organizing it. David Ortiz seemed to say it for all of us when he said, lt was so crowded it was like one giant Baler. Homecoming Student Life
