Its principle objective has been to return and increase the student privileges gradually lost through the years. Under the leader- ship of Student Body President David Rey, the Council has reached this objective through renewed guest cards and guaranteed school dance privileges. The COuI1Ci1 worked diligently on the revision of the constitutionthis year and made remarkable progress. The Baler Sluggexs are off to a perfect start after the first league game of the season, making their win-loss record 1 and 0' at press time. The Balers are looking to improve last year's strong second place showing by becoming league champions this year, and they have the talent to do it. While only three seniors are on this season's team, five returning lettermen round out the club and make it one to watch in league contention. 89 I -v. Sparked by the inspired running of Mike Sanchez and the equally inspired coaching of John Coombes, the Varsity pulled a strong second in league action, as did the IV's in their division. The Frosh came through the season especially well, capturing first place in the freshman competition. Come, let us try and unite. Together year a wonderful happening and memory. 146 WW !!! zels do not normally come as might symbolize part of the is continue? Wehope not! ! s and work together so that To work and plan together pride and others gain a we can make our Senior Class of '68 As the senior year rapidly draws to a grinding, flashing diploma- spewing close, many members of the Class of '68 find themselves lost in the reverie of high school memories. Perhaps they remember with what smiling dread they looked for- ward to the Freshman Reception, or how our freshman float won first place in the homecoming paradeg or the sudden realization as a sophomore that we're not freshmen anymore, or too big tuxedos and red corsaged chartreuse formals at the Junior-Senior Prom, or the sense of power one got from wearing that shiny new class ring for the first time. The time is not too far off when even this, our final year in high school, will be remembered only in the hazy reaches of memory. But the memories will be fond ones of a searching time in our lives, a search for knowledge, a search for the wisdom to use that knowledge, and a search for ourselves. 147 e their mark o ALVAREZ, JOHN ALVEIN, PEGGY ANDRADE, GARY ANDRADE, STELIA ANDRADE, STEVEN ARBOLEYA , JOYCE ARMSTRONG , LOUIS gf' ARTHUR, KATHY BACON, JEAN BARRETT, CHARLOTTE UBARRIOS, XAVIER J' 148 Hollister High as they enter lite. f - an ' BATES, v1o1A mwDoN, DANNY BEEIART, RAY BERGLUND, PAUL BISHOP, CAROL BERNIUDEZ, MARY BERMUDES, ELIZABETH BIACKLOCK, BOBBY BIANCO, JOE BIAND, RONNIE BLOHM, SUSAN 149 YQ BORBA , RICHARD .pn-1, BRANDHORST , EUGENE BORUNDA, GEORGE BOUCHARD CATHERINE V Q 2. x 1 fif 2 leads clas BOWMAN, CHARLES ED BROCK, CATHY BRYANT, MARK BUCK, ROSEMARY Bob Butterfield an Greg Renz, were with leg injuries. 150 downed temporarij Top Senior athleteg, -Y Kb BURMESTER, CLIFTON in skits, sales, ami drives.
