Every woman loves a beauty shop. Carmen Muro sets Dora Huante’s hair while Helen Falcon gives Dahlia Arzola a manicure. BEAUTY IS THEIR BUSINESS The Tech Cosmetology Shop is run like a regular beauty shop. Money made from serving patrons is used to buy necessary supplies. After graduation, girls need only pass a State Board examination in order to start their own shop. Beauty is the business of these future cosmetologists. While beginners have theory classes and learn the complicated art of giving facials and manicures, the more advanced students work on such jobs as eye-brow tints and scalp treatments. Proms call for special hair styles so Elizabeth de la Cruz. Josie Sotero, and Blanch Reyes give Elvira de Santiago, Theresa Ramirez, and Viola Huante a new look '. In this age of permanent waving Mary Ruth Flores, under the direction of instructor Mrs. Flynt, demonstrates to Jane Rodriguez, Mary Villarreal, and Patricia Ann Rivera the proper preparations before a permanent is given.
