ing among the peoples of the world through education, science and culture. During the war Axis countries pursued a deliberate policy of destroying the technical, pro- fessional, and teaching personnel of the countries they had conquered and, as a result, have encouraged hatred and misunderstanding between nations, peoples, and cultural groups. lt is only through the schools that understanding may be taught to the children. This important fact can not be too greatly stressed. Education is our only solution to the problem which now faces us. Education is the only key that will open the door to discernment, peace, goodwill and earthly tranquillity. Our salvation lies in our schools. The stories of the material destruction caused in the war will be a mere myth for those who will come after us. But it is the wounds of the spirit that it is ever so difficult but urgently important to heal so that love and faith and hope may replace the spirit of hatred and revenge. Children know no barriers of race and creed. Let us not educate them to know them. THIRD BUILDING
