During a visit to the campus, U.S. Commissioner Frank Baskin fleftb chats with Mr. James Wallace in the 1ibrary's rare books room. Named after his aunt, the late Dr. Janie Field Baskin who served as first chairman of the English Department, the room is used by students for special re- search projects. One of the many jobs student assistants perform in the library is checking out books to the large number of SACites who use the facility daily. Centrally located on campus, the Book Store is operating from the first floor of the Loftin Student Center for the last time. Next fall, the campus store will move into its new home in the basement of the addition to the Student Center.
