DESCRIPTION OF THE MEETINGS: Ample opportunity for developing the college oratorical candidates. Heated debates at every meeting on serious subjects and on fun-provoking ones, such as When and Where Will Be the Next Social, Whereabouts of Money Formerly in the Treasury, Suppression of the Cow- boys, and Senators to Utilize as Material for the Gauntlet Echelon. ACTIVITIES: Participation in all athletic, forensic, literary, and scholastic activities. Senators form ma.jority of debate, extempore, and public speaking teams ; ma- jority of Phi Theta Kappa members, publication staffs, all Student Association officers ; majority of Hall of Fame, King of Adda Dabba Carnival ; majority of Carnival Dukes ; majority of offices in both Freshman and Sophomore classes. Intramural champs in baseball by virtue of 2-0 no-hit, no-run victory over Cow- boys ; champions in football by technical forfeit ; sponsor of Annual Athletic Carnival.

Picnic at Tom Moon ' s Medina Lake cabin; dinner-dance, November 23, Rainbow Terrace; Cow- boy-Senate barn dance, December 17; ice-skating party and dance, March 1. ATHLETIC FEATS: In football the Cowboys won 1937 Cowboy-Senate game by default; of the season ' s five games with Senate, Cowboys won two, tied one, had 35 points to their credit. Cowboys made most penetrations in tie-game, giving them margin. In basketball the Cowboys claim unchallenged superiority; by technical forfeit won Senate series. Five regulars on Varsity Team, Cowboys. LeRoy Mueller captained team; Jack Gueldner, high point man. EXTRA-CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES: Publications : Editor, Jtinior Ranger — Jack Howard Business Manager, Junior Ranger — John Middleton. Business Manager, EL ALAMO, — Lloyd Barbee.
