He has been one of the photographers for the last three years. At the beginning of his sophomore year he joined the basketball team, and at the end of the season he received the most-im- proved player awardg he continued as a member of the team through his senior year. In the Super Star ct petition he placed first in shot- and weight-lifting. joel Crawford Joel came to SACS his sophomore year, winning the second place in fencing and earning the rank of cap- tain in R. 0. T. C. that same year. Joel played in the band and with the varsity basketball team his sophomore and junior years. He was voted the friendliest boy his junior year and in his senior year, he partic- ipated in the racquetball club. Joel scored 1303 on the SAT, resulting in being offered scholar- ships by M. I. T., North Texas State U., and Oklahoma Christian College. .loel plans to attend U. T. S. A. this fall and possibly Texas Tech the following year.
