For the senior classes annual trip, the seniors, two juniors, and four counsellors headed into Big Bend National Park. Since hiking and camping are favorite pasttimes of the seniors, Big Bend was a natural choice. Highlights of the excursion, which lasted five days, included climbing Mt. Emory, horseback rid- 34 Big Bend Draws Senio ing to the Window Rock, a visit to Hot Springs, and short hikes to the Chisos Basin and Santo Elena can- yon. An unexpected opportunity developed for Frank Corte to be a Good Samaritan to a Chevy Blazer bogged down in mud. The still resilient seniors ended their trip at Boquillas Valley.
