The class wrote to the magazine who gave them the address of the egg's owner. The class wrote the man and he Left: David Patrick holds the egg sent by Mr. Daniel to the class. The egg was glued together, insured, and then mailed to the class after scientists had finished their studies Strange Egg Sparks Second Grade Friendship answered them. Further correspon- dence followed and the class had made a friend and gained a very strange-looking egg in the process. Since then the man, Mr. Daniel, has mailed the class several other eggs that are native of England, where Mr. Daniel lives in Houghton. with it. The egg, along with others sent from England by Mr. Daniel are kept in a place of honor by the students in their classroom.
