En ' BOB MAULDIN A three year veteran of SACS, Bobby started his high school career at Churchill where he played in the B Band and won a first place medal for ensemble and a second place medal for solo. As a sophomore he joined the OVERCOMER staff. As ajunior he let- tered in basketball, was co-photography editor of the yearbook, and was elected the Friendliest, the Most Courteous, and the Most Consistently Well-groomed boy in his class. During his senior year he was captain of the basketball team and re- ceived the trophy for the Most Valuable Player. As high scorer he rack- ed up 323 points during the season. ln the Super Star competition he placed first in the softball throw and tied for second place in the overall competition. He was also elected Li'l Abner and the Friendliest Boy in the entire student body. He was chosen vice president of the Class of '75. Outside of school Bob has always been very active in his church. All four high school years saw him tour in the summer with the New Ex- perience Singers, and by the time he was a senior, he was playing bass and trombone for the New Experience and the Living Dead groups.
