XXX XXX CLASS OF I962 Eighth Grade History The Eighth Grade had few but very interesting trips during the school year. One of these trips was the history trip to Austin in which we learned about our state government and our state court system. This trip was wonderfully exciting for two reasons: lj VVe got to go to AUSTIN with our classmates, and 2D we were let out of school for a day. It was just like a well deserved vacation. Of course we were not without a chaperone. He was our government teacher, Prof. Corey. VVC also had a science trip to the San Antonio Gollcge planetarium with our science teacher, Col. Fletcher. The trip was made so that the members of the Eighth Grade could learn more about the heavens and stars. We walked through San Pedro Park to the planetarium at S.A.C. The Eighth Grade also had many interesting and exciting ex- periences, such as promotions, last study hall in Coach Priest's classroom, and the Military Ball. But this is only part of the Eighth Grade history. If you want more details, you had better ask one of your Eighth Grade friends. PAGE 22
