0 o 0 ft Beginning of Sports Action, Organization of Clubs Are All a Part of September After the confusion of August, Septem- ber came and students began to settle down. September brought the organiza- tion of clubsg officers were elected and installed. The Bobcat football team step- ped up practice in anticipation ofthe first game. Excitement grew, and on Septem- ber 7 the Orange soundly defeated Dallas Bryan Adams 41-7 in the season opener. It was the first of many wins for the team. Class officer candidates began their campaigning. They climaxed the hectic week of sign-painting and tag-making by presenting skits. Seniors ordered their graduation sup- plies, and the end of 12 years of fun and work began to draw nearer. Juniors, too, were faced with deci- sions, one being to make a choice of the many styles of senior rings available. Before long students were attending the inevitable workshops and seminars in various and sundry fields while the drama department prepared its first production. With September the routine and excite- ment of another year were well under way.
