WALTERS During her first year Susie wrote for the Ready Record and served on the House Council. As senior class president she was secretary of the Student Council. Her interest in dramatics and choral singing made her an active member of the Drama Club, and earned for her the presidency of the Senior High Clee Club. In the Athletic Association activities Susie diligently coached the cheering squad, and as a frequent occupant of the tennis courts, she earned many points for the Rho team. She also enjoys hiking, riding, and competitive swimming. An ardent defender of southern rights, she made many contributions to class discussions and extra-curricular bull sessions. Coming from Philadelphia to the Ready in her junior year, Diane immediately proved to be a valuable member of the class, the Rho team, and the Cotillion Club. She joined the Clee Club, and because of her interest and drawing ability, was elected Art Editor of the TORCH. In her junior year she was treasurer of the Social Service Guild, and her enthusiasm as president of the Cuild in her senior year helped to make all of its undertakings successful. PSALM 126 Lynda, who was at Samuel Ready longer than anyone in the class, participated in all of the school activities. During the last four years she has contributed much of her time and talent to the Angel Chorus, Glee Club, Drama Club, and Hockey Club. Lynda showed enthusiasm and ability in journalism through writing for the Ready Record and managing the TORCH. In her senior year as editor-in-chief of the school paper Lynda instituted several beneficial publication policies.
