E It was once said a successful teacher needs: the education of a college presidentg the executive ability of a financierg the humility of a deacong the adaptability of a chameleong the hope of an optimist, the courage of a hero: the wisdom of a serpentg the gentleness of a doveg the patience of Jobg the grace of Godg and the persistence of the devil. Miss Lillian B. Champagne, also nicknamed Li1 or the Colonel, fits the bill well, and has the secret of success because of her consistency of purpose. She has the right to criticize because she has the heart to help. She has showed us that a great many people think they are think- ing when they are merely rearranging their prejudices. And she has shown us that we should all be concerned about the future for more reasons than because we will have to spend the rest of our lives there. As a result of her dedication and of her efforts, the Air Force motto we put to a test. . . the difficult we do im- mediately, the impossible takes a little longer. 1 ',,
