CZKVQGVVIS A new day dawns and everywhere Children play games without a care Wives hustle and bustle to and fro Doing their chores, hummJing as they go. Men rise up with the sun Not stopping their work till the day is done- Toiling and yet thinking of when they can redeem Their many years hardship for a beautiful dream A quiet peaceful country home Surrounded by fields in which to roam A beautiful lake with its water glistening V Bright colored birds, their merry tunes whistling The shade of a tree, old but strong A small stream flowing by with its tinkling song Flowers dotting the fields here and there Natureis beauty everywhere The clouds in the sky rolling lazily on Now a place crosses the Vision soon to be gone The beautiful country with its spreading plain Quiet rest, and no more pain And now night falls and you sit in the dark The silence disturbed by a small dogis bark The sound of a cricket chirping his tune The night lit up by a silvery moon The scenery's beauty causing a choking sensation New life in the body, a new pulsation A paradise for love, for young and for old Nature's beauty-a story which cannot be told Now a sharp cry causes the dream to' be broken It is the foreman on his rounds who has spoken. No loafing around here. Get' back on the job. But the unfinished dream leaves the heart with a throb So back on the job with a feeling of sorrow You're in the world of today, not the world of tomorrow Now the days work is done and there's a homeward race The weary man sleeps-with a smile on his face F-George Braun

In drafting I drew a shafting With views both hottom and top. But when I finished it, the teacher diminished it With lines that did never stop. Uh Compers, Oh Gompers, Why did you treat me so? You gave me an education, But what the . . . do I know? I then went to the welding shop And tried to strike an arc. I hroke the machine and got a shock But didn't light a spark. In Gym it was the boys delight To play with halls and baskets. Then sneakers came off . . . oh, what a fright. It smelt like an open! gas jet. Oh Gompers, Oh Gonlpers, Why did you treat me so?
