I This season the traveling show is called Circus , Throughthe excitement and entertainment shines a message of brotherhood. The poetry this year is not confined to Black writers. Best remembered musical numbers are sure to be Mr, Bojangles and Gypsies, Tramps, and Thieves. Few will forget the impact of the fanciful puppet show, With These Hands. This year more Gompers students were involved than in previous years. Twenty-five of the thirty performers are from Gompers and the drummer in the orchestra is an eighth grader. The junior group, the Soul Kids, also had a successful season touring the elementary schools. 53
