I-Iomeroom activities have been going strong again this year, The 9th Grade Football Tournament proved to be exciting. The finals were between Mr. Kimsey fpict. ily and Mr. Pierson fpict. 19525. Mr. Kimsey won the 9th grade Championship on a last second pass from Ronald Taylor to Reggie Taylor. In the Sth grade tournament Mr. Taff's Toughies played Gish's Giants. In a defensive struggle, Gish's homeroom became the Sth grade champions in over- time. Picture if 3 is Mr. Taff's homeroom and 1994 is Mr. Gish's HR. The battle of the little guys was waged between Mr. Marcus' homeroom 0355 and Mr. Kline's H1565 home- room. In an enthusiastic game Mr. Marcus' home- room studentiwere the victors. In picture 542, Ronald is receiving one of his lst place medals, with Charles Starr 2nd and Clarence Daniels 3rd, In picture 553, Mr. Wimbish capably handled the bull pen as he readied the con- testants for their races. In picture if-4, Lawrence Thompson is shown in winning form in the Gompers mile run. In picture 1955, Lawrence is shown receiving his lst place medal along with second place finish, Ronald johnson, and 3rd place Cornelius Pettus. A highlight of the track meet is the Big Man's race.
