DC TT trains the ship's DC organization in ships equipment, ship systems, Fire Fighting procedures and techniques relating to the ship's survivability. DCTT is organized to train all types of DC-related exercises and evaluate and critique the DC team's abilities as Well as their own. The team is made up of a variety of ratings, which provides the ship with a Wide range of experiences. All team members are qualified to at least the level of personnel they are training andfor evaluating. While on deployment they completed 104 Fire Drills, 61 Flooding Drills, 68 Shoring Drills f x VX 5 The .Vledical Training Team distinguished itself on this deployment running over 150 individual man-dovvn and integrated emergency medical drills. From mass casualties during a complex ITT scenario to injured pilots during a crash and salvage drill lVlTT's ability to remain flexible and integrate to ever aspect of life at sea V greatly improved the knowledge and well being of every Sammy B sailor. 95

FPTT is responsible for the training of the entire crew in all matters related to Anti-Terrorism and Force Protection. Specifically, they train to counter bomb threats, swimmer attacks, boat attacks, small aircraft attacks. and numerous other threats While inport homeport, in overseas foreign ports and during special straits transits, such as the Panama Canal. The team is made up of specialists of numerous ratings. including Gunnersmates and Firecontrolmen to ensure the ship is Well trained. ln addition to specific threats. the crew is trained in all aspects of weapons safety and the use of deadly force. During this CNT deployment, the force protection capabilities of the ship was increased due to multiple small arms qualifications that personnel from the FPTT helped to execute. Over the course of 4 months, 70 personnel qualified on the M16 and 104 personnel on the QMM, allowing the ship to be able to flex its force protection capabilities. -1 Q, it . C 1 'M ' 97
