Junior Medical Department Independent Duty Corpsman Repreienwmie G l D C The USS Samuel B Roberts Medical Department is one of the many important einem my Om Aman components that keep the ship ready to deploy at a moments notice. The medical staffs primary focus is to keep the crew healthy and physically capable to complete the mission at hand. Medical is comprised of a Independent Duty Corpsman HMC CSWXSCWXFMFJ John Coates and a general duty corpsman HMQCSWXFMFJ Garrett Castro. The Medical Department had an active and successful deployment. During the first part of the deployment the Medical Department responded to, treated and successfully saved the life of a Columbian drug runner Who was injured during Coast Guard disabling fire. Additionally our Medical Department successfully took care of an unprecedented number of Medical and Dental emergencies While at sea. Always a part of our training Week the Department gave countless hours of health promotions, medical training and more man down drills than We care to remember.
