Staff Page From the beginning, it looked like it was more trouble than it was worth. a quote from the 96' cruise book... not much has changed in 12 years, but I hope the work and dedication it took to put this together is treasured by all that read it. ln the years to come when you pick this book up off the shelf, or find it buried in the bottom of some box, or maybe dig it out from of your old sea bag and you find yourself blowing off the dust reflecting on how long ago it was, remember, you were stationed on the Sammy B. I hope you remember that each of us grew into what we are because of the time we spent onboard this mighty ship. From the long hours on watch, the hard times and late nights working on that job that just had to be complete. To the short , but all exciting port visits in between each, we all grew into the men and women we are today. We are and always will be the crew of the mighty Sammy B. and we made it the best crew that she ever had. We bonded, fought, and grew tired of each other, but still went out of our way to help out a shipmate. We all went out in town to grab a bite to eat and have a few laughs whenever we could. Although many may deny it, we grew into a family. I hope when you look back at this book you see a familiar face. that guy that could make you laugh so hard, it hurt. Or that Chief that would make you so angry bad thoughts ran through your head, but now, you look back and think... uHe wasn't that badf, I hope you look back at this book and remember your time on board and have good memories, we did work hard, and it was tough. But that is what made us the best. We never faltered, we never gave up and we always finished on top.
