COMDESRON 36 Captain Anthony R. Colucci, a native of Ashta- bula, Ohio, graduated in 1962 from Miami lvl' Ullltfl University, where he received his connnission through the NROTC program. At sea, Captain Colucci served as First Division Officer and Main Propulsion Assistant in USS OGLETHORPE QAKA-1005, as Chief Engineer in USS WALLACE . LIND QDD-7031, and as Execu- tive Officer in USS BADGER QFF-10715. He coin- manded USS DONALD B. BEARY QFF-10855. Other sea duties have included tours as Aide and Flag Secretary to Commander Cruiser Destroyer Flo- tilla SIX and as Operations and Plans Officer for Commander Cruiser Destroyer Group EIGHT. Ashore, Captain Colucci served as a Company Officer at the U.S. Naval Academyg as Cruiser De- stroyer Pacific Placement Officer at the Bureau of Naval Personnelg and as Executive Assistance to the Director for Manpower Policy and Plans in the Office of the DCNO for Manpower. He has held billets as Operations Officer for the Commander Naval Sur- face Force, Atlantic and as Fleet Operations Officer for the Commander in Chief, U.S. Atlantic Fleet. Captain Colucci attended the Armed Forces Staff College. He also attended George Washington University and graduated with honors from Golden Gate University, where he earned a Masters Degree in Manpower Management. Personal awards include the Legion of Merit, the Meritorious Service Medal ttwo awardsl and the Navy Commendation Medal. Captain Colucci is married to the former Linda Lee DeJ oy of Wolloughby, Ohio.
