Through this maze of studies, social activities, and work, they try to develop their personalities and characters for the forth-coming years. Many people have contributed their time and knowledge to guide these students along the precarious road to success. Six years ago, one person began to devote his time, eFFort, and experience in molding this year's graduates. To the Seniors he is the prime example of leadership, honesty, and sincerity. lt is with much gratitude that we, the THUNDERBIRD staff, in behalf of the class of 1963, dedicate this yearbook to Mr. Andy Logozzo for his unselfish guidance in our years at Sammamish.

We learn by doing. In order to take an active, effective part in the future local, national, and international affairs, youth must prepare now by participation in the affairs of its schools. Valuable experience in self-determination is made possible for Sammamish youth by its Associated Student Body. ln A.S.B. meetings, the ideas and opinions of sophomores, iuniors, and seniors, faculty, and admin- istration are given a chance for expression and communication throughout the en- tire student body by means of representation. There is a chance for every student to be heard, for there is an A.S.B. representative in every first-period class. With such an organization, a greater chance for student-faculty cooperation is possible. By helping to govern ourselves now, we prepare for the clay in which we shall actually control our own destinies. This opportunity for learning by experience is the function of our A.S.B. 6 QQOCIA
