' Today a basic drive in the human race is not to love, but to kill. Nation is thrown against nation, man is thrown against man. Why? For power. Fortunately, another idea, peace, is still alive to check this selhsh urge. As students, teachers, and adminis- trators in schools build tovvard understanding, na- tions of the world's fairs cooperate in the effort to achieve this very goal. With wisdom and comprehen- sion peace can naturally take its place, for under- yflx lit standing is the foundation of peace. In trying to develop this foundation, we, the students of Sammamish High School, dedicate this 1962 Thunderbird to Century Ql in the hope that it will prove successful in furthering the important concept of building toward peace.
