In everyday life we often see and use obiects which become symbols of more im- portant things. ln the 1954 Entre Nous, we have attempted to show life at Howard College by using these symbols, or Signs of the Times , to imply the bigger events and happenings. Spiritual lite at Howard -- a very important factor on the campus- comes to mind when we see B. S. U. pins, the First Magnitude certificate, a B. S. U. pennant, or the Baotist Student Magazine. Each of these articles brings to mind spiritual gatherings and religious events at Howard that ha fe made our lives brighter and more meaningful. I I I I Coach Gartmcm an Captain Wilson A cheerleader's megaphone, football programs, an in- tramurol trophy--these are the souvenirs of those wonderful times we had while playing in and watching our school athletic events. We recall the Homecoming game, the H-Day intramural con- tests, some of the many exciting moments during basketball games with Southern, the fun we had in a tennis match with our roommate.
