V. P. P. BURNS DEAN PERCY P. BURNS He is the modern interpreter of Shakespeare, who through his own knowledge and under- standing of this genius, implants within his students the desire to obtain for themselves a like knowledge and understanding of Shakes- peare. It is a privilege to be enrolled as a member of his overflowing classes and to par- take of his graciously offered information and wisdom. He is tolerant of the misdemeanors of others but a strict taskmaster to himself in his own efforts in building and enlarging the scope of learning for his students. May the students who have rested under your influence and tutelage repay their debt of gratitude to you by living a richer and more useful life! IIZJ
