NEAL, an alumnus of Howard College, has proven himself to be peculiarly fitted for the taslc of being its leader. He has been at Howard for two years-years in which other colleges have stopped construc- tion, reduced their faculties, and had their enrollments re- duced. Howard, under the direction of Dr. Neal, has in- creased its number of buildings, added to its faculty, and enlarged its student body. I4
